Spa Gates supply and fit this selected GSM intercom to provide remote access control with your automatic gates. GSM intercomThis GSM intercom consists of an outside station with microphone and call button which has a built-in mobile SIM card and is able to call one or more preprogrammed numbers when activated by a visitor. The visitor is then able to converse with the house holder, and the house holder can then open the gate by command from his telephone when he or she is satisfied with the identity of the caller. A GSM intercom can be particularly useful where the gate is some distance from the house and beyond the reliable range of a normal wireless intercom. A good strength mobile telephone signal is required in the vicinity of the gate. A power source is required at the gate (as for automation) but otherwise no extra cabling is required. It should be pointed out that there are some running costs for the mobile telephone calls made by the GSM unit. |

A GSM intercom unit can be used as an alternative to a wireless intercom, especially where the gate is some distance from the house. The visitor at the gate uses the intercom which calls (acting as a mobile) one or more preprogrammed telephone numbers. The householder can then speak with the visitor at the gate from his telephone or mobile (wherever he is), and then use his telephone to remotely release the gate to let in the visitor. |
