finishesAs standard, all metalwork is supplied in primed and black glossed finish, and all timber has two generous coats of preservative applied. |

| We selected Western Red Cedar for our premier range of timber gates as Cedar is recognised as amongst the world's most durable woods, having a low shrinkage factor and good natural resistance to moisture and decay. The Cedar boards are laid on an inner frame within the main steel box section frame. Each board is secured to the frame by 3 stainless steel coach bolts, giving the distinctive studded effect to the front face of the gate. The steel frame gives the rigidity and strength to support the attachment of any required gate automation, or configuration as a sliding gate. | |||||||||||||||

| Our standard timber gates have a main steel box section frame with Scandinavian Redwood Pine timber boarding and a less labour intensive construction. The Pine boards are laid over the main frame so that from the front of the gate the frame is not visible. The boards are screwed to the steel frame with self-tapping screws, visible on the front face of the gate. The steel frame gives the rigidity and strength to support the attachment of any required gate automation, or configuration as a sliding gate. | |||||||||||||||
