We have a wide choice of different designs in each of our ranges. The selection of design is a personal issue, but how should you choose which range you should select from ?

We have shown the main construction details and approximate weights to help you to compare a typical gate from each range. When you have chosen the range and design of gate, you can then use the Gate Price Calculators to help specify your gate, to size any steel posts you may require and to select steel finish and fitting options.
gate orders All gates are made to order. To ensure you are completely at ease with ordering we confirm your requirements with key measurements shown in a drawing before we start making your gates.
finishes As standard, all metalwork is supplied in black primer finish. Alternatively, metalwork can be supplied hot-dip galvanised for long term anti rust protection.

Town Gates Range - Recommended as manually operated gates

Frame: 40 x 10mm Hanging Stiles: 40 x 30mm

Town gates are of a lighter construction and are most suited as manually operated gates. They are not generally suitable for the larger openings (greater than 3.5m). Since these gates are lighter, then they can be installed with smaller posts and the gate weight is more suitable if you plan to erect the gates yourself.

Estate Gates Range - Recommended as automated swing or sliding gates

Estate gates are of more substantial construction with greater rigidity and weight. Estate gates are recommended for all types of automation, including the latest arm operators mounted at waist height. The gates are also recommended in sliding configurations.
