We have shown the main construction details and approximate weights to help you to compare a typical gate from each range. When you have chosen the range and design of gate, you can then use the Gate Price Calculators to help specify your gate, to size any steel posts you may require and to select fitting options.
gate orders All gates are made to order. To ensure you are completely at ease with ordering we confirm your requirements with key measurements shown in a drawing before we start making your gates.
finishes As standard, all our Steel Gates are now shot blasted, zinc primed and black powder coated for anti rust protection and superb looks.

City Gates - Recommended as automated (or manual) swing or sliding gates

City gates are of a sturdy but lighter steel box construction with the fashionable 'substantial' look. These gates are about 40% lighter than our traditional solid bar Estate gates, but still have all the rigidity required for automation.

Estate Gates - Recommended as automated swing or sliding gates

Frame: 40 x 15mm Hanging Stiles: 40 x 30mm
Long Vertical Bars: 20mm dia
Short Vertical Bars: 16mm dia

Estate gates are of solid steel bar construction with greater weight than City gates. Estate gates are recommended for all types of automation, including the latest arm operators mounted at waist height.
